Seven short stories (ranging from 20 pages to a quarter of the book) documenting the relationships between modern day events (think post-Trump election, 2016-2020) and the people experiencing them. These increasingly difficult scenarios are fueled by the technology and tension America has devolved into since Trump took office.
The writing pulls the stories together, creating a cohesive look at a time where, very realistically, you could imagine this all happening during the same time period in different parts of the country.
